Annulus Fibrosus Repair Techniques Presented on Multiple International Academic Conferences in 2021

In 2021, Professor En Song's team (Department of Sports Medicine, First Affiliated Hospital pf Kunming Medical University) participated in three major international orthopedic (spinal) conferences via online platforms. In their presentations, they demonstrated the use of annulus fibrosus repair techniques, intradiscal lavage procedures, and biological disc repair technologies. Through compelling academic lectures, Professor Song showcased to international peers the clinical value and advancements of China's independently developed innovative technologies in the field of spinal surgery.

Professor En Song's presentations at the three conferences focused on “Clinical Efficacy Study of Full-Endoscopic Lumbar Disc Herniation Annular Repair Combined with Intradiscal Irrigation” and “Application of Annular Repair Combined with Platelet-Rich Plasma in Lumbar Disc Herniation.” He provided an in-depth interpretation of the concept of combining mechanical and biological repair for discogenic diseases, reiterating the philosophy of a comprehensive treatment approach (minimally invasive + precise + repair + regeneration) for discogenic conditions. He also presented related clinical work and exploratory research. Additionally, Professor Song highlighted his team's explorations and preliminary achievements in bioengineering repair technologies, positioning them as a valuable complement to our annulus fibrosus suture techniques.
In January 2021, Professor En Song's team published an SCI paper on the biological repair of lumbar disc herniation using a combination of annulus fibrosus repair and platelet-rich plasma technology.

On international academic communication platforms, Chinese spinal surgery experts consistently share the application and advancement of innovative spinal surgical techniques from China, playing a positive role in promoting domestically developed technologies.
